I am obligated to tell you about my hunting experience with Xtreme Hunts. To be fair, more correctly with Tony May as a person as well as a guide. First let me tell you a little about myself. My name is Paul Hull. I will be 67 in mid January of 2012. I have been hunting since I was 6 and deer hunting since I was 16 (in North Carolina you had to be 16 back then to deer hunt). When I booked my cross bow hunt, I told Tony that I really did not have a lot of physical/medical problems. I told him that I was slow in getting around but that I can still hunt from ladder stands. I do have pain in my hips and lower back (grew up on a farm. Like an idiot I tried to keep up with the men when it came to lifting etc.) Enough about my history. I have been on several "paid" hunts. Tony, meet me and gave a feeling that he had known me for years or possibly that I was a family member. Unlike the other hunts that I have gone on that gave the feeling that I was just a "job" that had to be done because I had spent some money with them. Never was I given any help or offered any with my gear getting to and from my hunting stands with the other hunting Outfitters I hunted with I dropped my cross bow from my stand while getting down and broke the stock completely off and I thought my hunt was over with on the 1st night out, Tony went to the hard ware store and fixed my cross bow and had me back in the stand and never missed a hunt. Tony, made every effort to make it easy for me to get to and from my hunting stands. (The stands that I hunted were all in very good shape, and easy for me to get into and out-of). I am slow in walking to and from the stand (stopping to rest every now and then). Tony, never rushed me (he even carried my day pack and gear) on occasion he would even ask if I needed to stop and rest. Never have I felt so comfortable with a guide or Outfitter on any of the other paid hunts I was on I had to tell you how great I was treated on my hunt as a person and yes even as a friend. If all of your guides, are of this caliber Xtreme Hunts can do nothing but be a great success. No, I did not kill a deer. It was still the BEST hunt with a guide that I have ever been on. I just retired, and do not know if I can afford to hunt with you and Tony again, but if God willing I will. Thanks for the experience and the making of a good friend.

"If you want to have the opportunity to harvest a big whitetail, you have to hunt where they live. Xtreme Hunts in Pike County Illinois, provides that opportunity. Food plots are abundant, and all stands are placed to hunt the wind. Experiment with hunting tactics, throw in some luck, talk to and believe your guide, and the possibilities exist. I've been fortunate to harvest 2 great whitetails, 2 years in a row with Xtreme Hunts, and this trip will be my third. Both during the rut, one with a decoy. 2 hunters from my group in 2006 had seen between 100 and 120 different bucks on one parcel they hunted for the week. The " shooters" evaded their efforts, however, without question, most of those bucks will have grown to their potential "trophy" status this year. Management is what brings us back each year. "

My brother-in-law has been asking me to come hunt with him at Xtreme Hunts for the last 4 years and last year I finally agreed to go with him and man it was everything he told me and more. He told me you will not be disappointed, they have lots of deer and knowledgeable guides that will do everything they can to put you on that buck of a lifetime. Everything he told me could not have been more true and I loved every minute. "Let me just say this will be my 6th consecutive year hunting with Xtreme- Hunts. I have never hunted with another outfitter, I've never needed to. Xtreme Hunts, gives me the hunt im looking for every year. We have had some good times and I look forward to going back every year. I've hunted every season from early October to late December and I have seen shooters during every hunt thought all the the seasons. My best deer to date with Xtreme Hunts is a 156" 8 point. If that's not big enough for you , you may wanna find a high fence Outfitter. I have seen bigger bucks and have seen guys bring back bigger bucks to the skinning shed, but I know if I keep going back and putting my time in, my 180" booner will be on my wall next to a couple more I have killed with Xtreme Hunts. c-ya there!!!"

"Xtreme Hunts is by far and away the best hunting experience you will ever have in your life. It’s a no frills hunt with huge deer around ever corner at an affordable price. My guide Scott put me on deer every single day including a 15 yard shot at a 155 class 8 pointer. My bow bumped the stand and I missed the deer. Two nights later Scott had me back on 2 monsters. Unfortunately, they did not turn and broadside and offer me a shot. The best part of the hunt was the camaraderie with the Xtreme staff. The guides were great, Tony, Scott, Tyler,Rich, Shane and boy do they know the deer. You can set your watch on Scotts predictions. The man that makes it all possible, owner Edwin Harpole, stopped by camp every night to ensure the hunt went well. That's right, the owner himself. I can't say enough about him. He is just a great person offering unbelievable hunts at a price even a blue collar guy like myself can afford. I arrived at camp a paying hunter but I left the camp feeling like part of the Xtreme family. I'll sum it up like this, if you want to shoot pool, drink all night at a fancy lodge, and shoot 125's....Go to one of the other many Pike County commercial outfitters. But if you want to hunt hard, kill monster bucks, and make great friends then Xtreme Hunts is the answer! Good luck Edwin and the Xtreme family for the 2011-2012 season. "Xtreme hunts did go to extremes to make my very first Illinois bow hunt a truly awesome experience.We were on the ladies hunt. They were accommodating, paid attention to detail and so friendly that I immediately felt at home. The stand sites were well thought out and they even had hundreds of game camera photos of where we would be hunting so we could review who would be on the potential hit list. It was exciting to review all the pictures and know just what potential bucks were wandering those woods and fields. My guide is a local and has the experience necessary to put me on the big bucks. When he would put me in the stands he would tell me which areas to concentrate on and he was always right. The local knowledge can’t be beat and helps raise the level of success. The guide was careful to watch the wind and adjust our stand sites accordingly, a key to bow hunting success for sure! The price was right, the guiding top notch and the deer sightings were numerous. I will keep coming back for sure!"

Hi Everybody at Xtreme Hunts; Thank you for providing a great hunt in the first gun season of 2010; it was a wonderful experience. I am a hunter who uses a wheelchair and was very impressed with the accessibility of the lodging. There was even a wheel-in shower where I stayed!Shane my guide for the week made sure that I had access to prime hunting spots. I shot a nice eight-point buck the second day of the hunt, the biggest I have shot in over 40 years of hunting deer. This hunt was well worth the price, and I would recommend Xtreme Hunts to anyone who wants a legitimate chance to bag a trophy buck. I Hope to see you guys again in the future.
